Early Music in the Marches Early Music Weekend

A Friday night concert given by early music professionals and a two day workshop for vocalists and instrumentalists.
Georg Philipp Telemann’s ‘Paris Quartets’
This year focusses on Telemann’s famous collection of music for flute, violin, viola da gamba and continuo (cello and harpsichord).
Friday night concert: Marches Baroque Ensemble, playing on period instruments, will present a programme of music which will include several pieces from the collection of twelve Paris Quartets.
Weekend workshop: for three groups, tutored by David Hatcher and Sharon Lindo, who will work on a selection of the pieces – from facsimile or from modern editions as preferred.
