Come and join Clacton Choral Society for a morning learning and singing two 16th century Spanish masterpieces “Ego sum panis vivus” by Tomas Luis de Victoria and “Peccantum me quotidie” by Cristobal de Morales., led by Michael Danes. Members of Stile Antico will lead and coach participants in music by Victoria, Palestrina, Morales and Lusitano, in four to twelve parts. Settings of sections of the Missa l'homme armé by Busnois, Dufay, Guerrero, Morales, and Palestrina. New singers are always welcome. Join Leah Stuttard to learn and sing some seasonal medieval music. Enthusiastic amateur singers and Handel enthusiasts are invited to join LHF Musical Director Laurence Cummings and leading Handel scholar Ruth Smith to explore just how Handel’s vocal writing is so utterly extraordinary. Singers will work through selected choruses from Messiah, focusing on the marriage of text and vocal line, examining vocal techniques and dramatic intent... South West Baroque Orchestra is the regional period instrument orchestra in the South West. Applicants are welcome to play for a rehearsal to try out the experience of baroque playing techniques. Learn some of the choruses from Handel's Messiah, led by Paul Herrington. Join the Pentland Singers and enjoy singing through the wonderful choruses of Vivaldi's Gloria!
