9 events,Anticipating Easter - Victimae Paschali settings for voices and instruments A=440. Anna Stegmann is recorder professor at the Royal Academy of Music in London and a virtuosic performer on the recorder. She tutors on the Easter Early Music Course and at Jackdaws in Somerset. This workshop is open to all players of not only recorders but also renaissance wind instruments and viols. Anna will be exploring... Renaissance Recycling – a workshop for all singers and instrumentalists led by Ali Kinder. This workshop will look at two examples of Renaissance Recycling, in both cases a kind of 'upcycling' from a short initial motet or chanson into an entire mass. Workshop for Voices featuring settings of Song of Songs texts by 16th-century composers from various European countries. Members of Stile Antico will lead and coach participants in music by Victoria, Palestrina, Morales and Lusitano, in four to twelve parts.
